Florida didn't become one of the world's favorite vacation destinations on beaches and theme parks alone. The area is packed with more than 100 public parks, many complete with picnic areas, playgrounds, bikeways and walking paths.
Visit one of the area's numerous campgrounds and state parks, including Lake Kissimmee, the third largest lake in Florida with 13 miles of beautiful walking trails. Lakeside Community Park is a great place to take the kids with its inline hockey rink, tennis courts, skate park, playgrounds and basketball court. Take a ride in a hot air balloon. Swim in the cool waters of an age-old spring. Horseback ride, hike, canoe - as if your "to-do" list wasn't long enough already!
Central Florida's sporting venues are some of the best in the country. From professionally designed golf courses to world-class indoor sporting complexes, the area is a paradise for the most discriminating sports enthusiast.
